finished building, but still streaming won't start because it can't find the files it needs, what the

waiting for something to finish building past midnight because you have to run some other things after it and you can't go to bed yet because your little server thingy will be down is such a mood

think I got the fix for the streaming container, currently rebuilding it and restarting everything again after.

edit: for those curious, I had to change the build parameters in the docker-compose.yml, if you run into the same issue, make sure to check that part

alright now the backend is running smoothly again, but the Streaming container is still Severely Upset about life

the migrations went pretty quick, going to give starting it a try again

database restore in postgres 17 complete, that version upgrade should hopefully last a while. now to figure out and run the database migrations

ugh fuck postgres needs to be updated because the one currently running is not sufficient for the latest mastodon

almost there.. but something is wrong with the streaming servers

the good news: the upgrade succeeded! the bad news: even more random changes that I couldn't find documentation about but is now yelling at me through the logs. We're getting closer though

updates compiling smoothly, expecting the reboot to automatically happen in about 5 minutes

Running the updates again now, the scripts have been updated to accommodate major version changes, let's see how it goes

so as mentioned on @dhstatus mastodon, it didn't work, for some reason even though the configs are pointing to a newer image, it still seems to show the older one. I'll look further into this tomorrow.
